In 1942, my father Mr Late Sri Nanji bhai patel, Migrated to Hyderabad, with family and aspirations to earn skills and nurture it into success.

He persevered under the thoughtful guidance of a local timber deposit of a firm called P Balakrishana & Sons. After assimilating and excelling in all the tricks of the trade and he started his own venture in 1957. He began dealing with various types of certified timber like teak wood. Soon the word spread around the town about our great quality, precision delivery and good work. We started securing government tenders for major establishments like BHEL, HMT, DRDL etc. along with a few other export orders.

In 1978, my brothers and I took off on our father’s footsteps to initiate a new venture that was called Gautam Timber & Plywood Centre.

Which deals with Plywood, hardware, glass and furniture fittings. Soon we achieved our next milestone with the opening a showroom in Balanagar in 1982. It’s strategic proximity to the industries around helped us achieve merited popularity. Slowly over the decades, we expanded our influences by opening new branches in RC Puram, Kukatpally, and many more. Mr. Himmatlal Patel became one of the main founders of the Telangana Glass & laminates Welfare Association, which has over 950 members today.

And today, I am proud to say that the third generation of my family, my capable sons Tarun and Kishan, have begun taking over our family business to the next level by venturing into modular interiors and designing with a flagship store at Kokapet for our new brand “Woodscape”. This new chapter in our life is a result of priceless experience garnered by our family. We hope that with the 75+ years of our experience, garnered by three generations of our family, will help your dream home become a beautiful reality!”
